クラシック音楽発祥の地である西洋では芸術家は長らく、貴族や王族、パトロンなどからの金銭的なサポートを受け活動をしていました。芸術は必ず生活に必要とは言えませんが、美しい芸術がある人生とそうでない人生を比べた時、精神的な充実度がどちらの方が高いかは言うまでもないでしょう。しかし近年では芸術もビジネスと化し、エンターテイメントを追求せず、ただただ美しいものを人々に提供するだけで暮らしていくことはより困難となってきたように思います。

私は自分の演奏活動や、ブログでの執筆活動、そしてピアノ教育を通してより多くの方々に音楽の素晴らしさ、そして音楽がある生活の素晴らしさを届けようと日々考えながら生きています。演奏では、言語や時代の壁を越えて人々を魅了するその作品の美しさを、私というピアニストを通して皆様にお伝えできるよう励んでおります。音楽を生業としていない方でも、より作品や作曲家についての理解を深める手助けができるようブログで書いております。ピアノのレッスンでは、音楽を自分で作れる喜びを感じてもらえるよう、そして教育が未来のクラシック音楽の聴衆を育てる役割も認識しながら、生徒さんたちに接しております。

今やっている活動を更に深め、より多くの方に私の活動を認識して頂くために、私の活動の趣旨を理解してくださる皆様からのご厚意を募りたく存じこちらのページを作りました。いただいたご支援は、音楽や芸術、美学、教育に関する書籍や楽譜の購入に充てる所存です。これらからインプットされたものが、私の演奏や文章から、そして私の生徒さんたちを通して、世にアウトプットされていくこととなります。あたたかいご寄付を賜れれば大変幸いです。

Artists throughout history have depended on patrons to support their art and it has become increasingly difficult for musicians not to become pure ‘entertainers’. Many say that art is not ‘necessary’ to live life however if one compares a life without art to a life with art there is no doubt which one is more rich and humanistic.

My mission is to bring the beauty in music to as many people as possible through my performance, my writing and to my piano students. The beauty of music can transcend barriers of language, time and space, and this is precisely what I strive for in my piano performance. Not everyone enjoys the privilege of studying music but through my writing I hope to enrich as many people’s lives as possible with the understanding of classical music. In my piano lessons I am teaching my students so they may have the joy of making music themselves and at the same time I realize that they will be the future of classical music performance but also listeners. I sincerely believe that through writing and performance I can extend this beyond just my students.

I do not want to become a pure ‘entertainer’ and to help stay on this path I opened the possibility to contribute a small amount of money to my cause. Most of the money will be re-invested in literature and other resources about music, art, aesthetics and education which I will give back through my performance, writing and to my piano students. I would be delighted to receive your support!
